QHY268C is a color back-illuminated CMOS camera with 16-bit ADC. The pixel size is 3.76um, 26 million pixels. QHY268C currently only has a color version.
QHY268C has a native 16-bit A/D chip. True 16 bits, 65536 levels of output. Compared with 12-bit and 14-bit ADCs, 16-bit ADCs can obtain high sampling resolution, and the system gain is lower than 1e/ADU (no sample error noise and low noise)
Big manhole
One advantage of the back-illuminated CMOS structure is to improve the full well capacity, which is especially important for sensors with smaller pixels. Even using ungrouped 3.76um pixels, QHY268C has a full well capacity of 44ke-. When combining 2x2 to 7.5um, the full well is 176ke-; when combining 3x3 to 11um, the full well is 396ke-.
Ultra low noise
QHY268 has only one readout noise electron under high gain and high readout speed of 15FPS. This means that the camera only needs to achieve SNR>3 under 3 to 4 photons. When the conditions are limited by photons, such as short exposure, narrow-band imaging, etc., the excellent performance of QHY268 makes this large-area sensor an ideal choice for sky measurement and time-domain astronomy.
Adapt to HyerStar
The circular camera housing design and imager size are most suitable for Hyperstar systems.
USB3.0
QHY268C supports USB3.0 and has GigaE interface (currently supports hardware, will be activated in futu
TEC Cooling
QHY268C adopts dual TEC refrigeration technology.
